Earlier this month The Wage Of Sin announced intentions to break up after 4 1/2 years together. During that time, the group released two albums with Immigrant Sun Records.

Maryland metal/grind/hardcore band Strong Intention have officially signed with Goodfellow Records. Formed in 1993, the group have previously released material with Crucial Blast and Coalition Records, among others. They will enter the studio in May to record their Goodfellow debut with Ken Olden (Damnation AD) at his studio in Washington D.C. and the album should be available this summer.

Revelation Records will be releasing the Judge discography on June 21st.

Pageninetynine recently remixed their entire "Document #8" sessions (including the two tracks from City Of Caterpillar split) at Godcity Studios. Alan Douches was brought onboard to master and the effort will be re-released through Robotic Empire later this year on both CD and vinyl. In addition, former members of the band are also still hard at work compiling their previously announced DVD release.

Since By Man have booked a number of European dates, a complete schedule will be announced shortly. Currently the band are prepping to hit the studio to begin recording their new album which will see a release later this year.

The Promise has broken up.

SignonSanDiego, the online adaptation of San Diego's Union-Tribune area newspaper, is reporting that Blink-182/Transplants drummer Travis Barker has formed a new project with Blink-182 vocalist/bassist Mark Hoppus called Plus 44, who are currently recording and writing.

Recently reformed metal band Gorefest has officially signed a multi-album deal with Nuclear Blast Records. Formed in 1989, the Netherlands outfit originally signed with the label in 1992, before moving to Steamhammer/SPV, then breaking up in 1999. The band is currently writing material for their next album, which should hit stores late this year. According to the group, "It is turning out to be a pretty amazing year for us, first of all getting back together again, and now getting back to the world's leading metal label!"

After several releases with Deathwish Inc. and Three One G Records, Some Girls have officially joined the Epitaph Records roster. The group features former American Nightmare vocalist Wes Eisold and The Locust bassist Justin Pearson, among others. The band is currently working on their second full-length and Epitaph debut.

Bay Area grind trio Cretin have signed with Relapse Records. The group's first Relapse release will be a split with Pig Destroyer, due out later this year. Additionally, the band is also rehearsing material for their debut full-length, which will be available late this year.

Darkest Hour are currently in Vancouver mixing their new album, which will hit stores on June 28th.

Every Time I Die have announced plans to embark on a UK/European run with Lamb Of God and Unearth overseas in June. Dates and venues have yet to be announced. Every Time I Die's new album "Gutter Phenomenon" will see a release this summer through Ferret.

Stephen Brodsky of Cave In fame has set The Octave Museum as the title to his new side project, which along with him handling vocals and guitar, features Johnny Northrup of Thee Electric Bastards on bass and Kevin Strongbow of Scissorfight on drums. The band will be making their live debut at Zuzu in Cambridge, MA on April 20th. In related news, the previously announced collection of largely unreleased Cave In demos from last year is nearly completed with a summer release through Hydra Head expected.

Burlington, ON's Jersey has called it quits.

Heather, Kevin, and Matt from Teen Idols and Geis from Rehasher/Army Of Ponch have formed a new band called Bullets To Broadway. The band recently recorded eight songs at Matt's home studio Drastic Sounds.

Ötven tequilát ivott egy versenyen, meghalt

Csak pár órával élte túl győzelmét egy tequilaivási verseny bajnoka. A dominikai Santo Domingo egyik diszkójában zajló versenyen a 21 éves Ricardo Garcia több mint ötven pohár tequilát ivott, amivel első lett. Később rosszul lett, és pár órával kórházba szállítása után alkoholmérgezés okozta szívelégtelenség miatt meghalt. A másik három döntős is kórházba került, állapotuk súlyos.

Some more info has been revealed for the upcoming Melvins tribute album, "We Reach: The Music Of The Melvins". In addition to the previously announced tentative contributions from the Dillinger Escape Plan, Meshuggah, Mastodon, Strapping Young Lad, Keelhaul, House Of Low Culture, Meatjack, Lickgoldensky, Absentee (ex-Mushroomhead frontman Jason Mann), Dog Fashion Disco, Disengage and Abdullah, the record is also expected to feature a cover performed by Jess Margera of CKY and another done by Matt Pike of High On Fire. The outing is currently expected out on May 10th via Fractured Transmitter Record Co..
