A hernyó nem tudom mekkora, de a légylárva, amivel összekeverték, azért nem olyan pici.
"Authors found different stadiums of Dermatobia hominis larvas, and diagnosed dermatomyasis, from head and shoulders skin of an 23 year old male hungarian traveller, who returned from Bolivia. The larvas were removed partially mechanically and chirurgically. This fly species which is natural habitant and spread in The Middle and Shouth America, causes not only a loss of the cattle population, but also bites human being. The larva is growing from 6-12 weeks in the skin, and in the meantime it the first publication of the imported case in Hungary. The authors call the tourists and physicians attention to be prepared for the disease in the tropical countries."
"How it is spread: The adult human bot fly actually captures insects that feed on man, such as a mosquito, then weighs it to the ground and lays its eggs on the underneath side of the abdomen (Fig. 9). When the mosquito feeds on man, the eggs hatch and the larvae crawl down onto the skin, evidentially triggered by heat, and burrow into the tissue. This insect does not occur in the United States; however, in areas where it does occur it can be quite a problem. Human bot fly larvae do not migrate throughout the tissue, rather than stay in one general area until the life cycle is complete."
