Greg and I had dinner tonight, it was awesome. I already knew what I wanted to eat as we sat down at Ram Mai Thai (the best thai joint in Seattle). After much consideration, Greg finally ordered Pad See Ew, the same dish that I get every time. It was fucking delicious. We had Spring Rolls as an appetizer.
Greg and I have been talking back and forth over the past year about a Trial reunion. Both of us have been so busy that whenever one of us was free to have some food and talk, the other wasn't. I think at the ALKM show, we really got psyched to do it and made time for dinner as soon as we possibly could. Thank you ALKM.
Brian Redman and Nick Platter are also in for this. Josh Freer has been asked to play, but we are unsure if he's in or not. Either way, this is going to happen.
I know that everyone, including us, thought that it would never happen. Sometimes, things get blown out of proportion and the rumors grow into something bigger than they actually are. Greg and I never hated each other, we had difficult times like any band does, but it could never kill the friendship that we've had since I met him at the Inside Out show in 1993. We were friends before Trial, and we'll be friends long after this reunion.
As for when it will happen. I'll tell you right now, July 9th is not the date. We're not playing a reunion with Stay Gold, not that we wouldn't want to, it would be awesome to play with them. It's only because that is their thing, and that should be their thing completely.
It will happen in Seattle though.
Because all of our schedules are hectic at the moment, it will have to be in between all of our projects. I don't know when it will happen, but more than likely, the soonest would probably be fall. This summer is filled with reunions, and that almost makes us think that waiting until next year might be a better idea. Either way, there will be one more Trial show in the future. I hope this clears the rumors, there's nothing more or less to this. So speculation is unnecessary
