Denial
the noise of the radio tunes me in
nothing has changed the sun went down and up again
why do we strive for dreams we cannot ever reach
when buildings crumble down around us?
I know it’s the place
where every story ends the same
I’m not here to wake you, I won’t open your eyes
If you saw the truth, you'd be blinded by the sight
I hung around on empty streets to find the answer
but I only found myself in your shop-windows,
I am only a reflection
like the angel who whisper into my ears
“if you’re on bottom down, stand up and solve your problem
there’s no one to help you, it’s a lesson to be learned”
they are like their cops and the laws, they won’t ever help you
unless you have the money to buy your truth
I know it’s the place
where every story ends the same
I’m not here to wake you, I won’t open your eyes
If you saw the truth, you'd be blinded by the sight
I was sitting on a dark train in the night when she came to me and said
“try it harder or give it up, it’s up to you”
I looked for something that I never had
and I know I’ll never find it here…
are we just wasting our time, while falling down?
or is it the time wasting us?
we are so hopeless...
tell me what’s left for us
what’s left for us but denial?
