German metal/hardcore band Fall Of Serenity have officially joined the Lifeforce Records roster. Formed in 1998, the group has previously release three albums in addition to a split with Heaven Shall Burn. Their fourth, and as-of-yet untitled full-length will hit stores in spring of 2006.
Reno, Nevada band Fall Silent, who have been inactive for nearly two years are apparently back in action. The latest line-up does not include vocalist Levi Watson, but guitarist Danny Galecki is on board.
While playing a reunion show at last year's Arnhem Hardcore Meeting, Boston hardcore outfit Panic apparently had a good time and are now writing material for a new CDep/7". The current line-up includes Azy, Gibby, Masek, Damian, and new drummer, Q. According to Azy, "I just want to make clear that we are back out of a desire to shred, not because we have some self-important agenda or egos that need feeding..." The group will record five new songs this winter, and the release will hit streets via Reflections Records in early-2006.
Equal Vision Records will release the new Good Clean Fun album, "Between Christian Rock And A Hard Place" on January 24th.
Caliban have begun recording their new album "The Undying Darkness" with Anders Friden of In Flames producing. Andy Sneap (Machine Head, Killswitch Engage) has been chosen to mix the effort, which will see a release next year.
Icepick (Hatebreed/Skarhead) are now looking to release their debut album "Violent Epiphany" through Stillborn on November 29th.
Thursday are currently in pre-production for their new album with producer Dave Fridmann (Flaming Lips, Mercury Rev). The band plan to begin officially tracking the effort in October with a release in the spring being eyed.
After years without a new recording, former Smiths frontman Morrissey has announced his second new album in two years. He released You Are the Quarry last year.
