Throwdown is currently home writing material for their next Trustkill Records release. The group has written eight songs thus far and hopes to begin recording in mid-January. According to the band, "[the album] is coming along awesome." Titled "Venom and Tears," the effort will likely hit streets in late-Spring 2007
Seattle quartet IAMTHETHORN is the newest addition of the Goodfellow Records roster. The new band features an amalgamation of names that will be familiar to those that have followed the Northwest heavy music scene of the past ten years. Featuring Johnny Pettibone (Himsa, Nine Iron Spitfire, Genuine, Undertow) on vocals, Aaron Edge (Grievous, Hauler, Genuine, Harkonen, Himsa, Christ, Hellephant) on guitar and screams, Joe Axler (Skarp, Book of Black Earth, Splatterhouse) drumming and Jerad Shealey (Receder) on bass, the band plays a "frantic, pissed off, down-tuned style of metal that is influenced by bands such as Eyehategod, Crowbar, Integrity and new label-mates Cursed."

Chicago band Suicide Note has announced plans to release a split with Lords in spring 2007 through Hawthorne Street Records. Suicide Note is also in the process of writing material for a new full-length. Meanwhile, the group has been remixing their debut recording, which originally surfaced as their 1999 demo. Kurt Ballou has been remixing the eight songs (in addition to a Black Flag cover) at his Godcity studios in Salem, MA.
Comeback Kid have been holed up in Fort Collins, CO this month recording their new album "Broadcasting...", which is due in stores on February 20th through Victory Records. In other news, the band recently tracked a cover of Sick It All's "Step Down" for inclusion on the upcoming Abacus Recordings-backed Sick Of It All tribute album "Our Impact Will Be Felt", which is set for a January 23rd release date. The aforementioned tribute outing will feature covers done by the likes of Unearth, Sepultura, Hatebreed, Napalm Death and many more.

Victory Records will be issuing a new 'best of' release for Atreyu entitled "The Best Of..." on January 23rd. No word yet on a track listing. Atreyu recently left the aforementioned label and signed a deal with Hollywood Records.
